In 5 minutes you can reach: the famous Piazza Duomo, with its marvelous cathedral (of which you have a splendid glimpse from the apartment) and its Broletto, both worth a visit; Piazza San Fedele, a pretty little square with the Romanesque-style basilica of the same name; Via Vittorio Emanuele, among the most renowned shopping streets; Piazza Volta, very lively for aperitifs and after-dinner al fresco all year round; and Porta Torre, one of the historic entrances to the walled city.It is also a 5-minute walk to Piazza Cavour, the largest square in Como, in front of which it is possible to take the Navigazione Lago di Como boat and reach the most famous places on the lake (Cernobbio, Blevio, Torno, Laglio, Argegno, Menaggio, Bellagio, Varenna).On foot, or by renting city bikes, you can reach Villa Olmo and its park by taking the picturesque walk from the Hangar, and Villa Geno by riding along the lakefront Viale Geno.
