HOLIDAY HOME FOR THE SUMMER PERIOD (from June to September) - “La Finestra Sul Velino” (CIR 066053CVP0001) is located in the center of Rosciolo de' Marsi, a characteristic medieval village in the heart of the Marsica and the distant “Velino Sirente” Regional Natural Park just 5 km from the Magliano de' Marsi motorway exit (A25) and about 15 minutes from Tagliacozzo. The residence enjoys a privileged panorama, facing the majestic Monte Velino (from which it takes its name), which is almost within reach, while from above it overlooks the Fucino valley. The house extends over an area of approximately 180 m2, distributed over two floors: from the outside you enter the large entrance which leads to the double living room (with fireplace) which overlooks an equipped panoramic terrace of approximately 40 m2. The floor is completed by the eat-in kitchen (with another fireplace) and a bathroom. A wooden staircase leads to the second floor and the two bedrooms with another bathroom. The residence is fully furnished and the appliances are new (washing machine, microwave oven, kettle, toaster, Nespresso coffee machine, hairdryer) or little used (TV, fridge and kitchen oven). Rosciolo is a charming medieval village (see photos after those of the accommodation) immersed in nature at over 900 meters above sea level, surrounded by walls and watchtowers on the Fucino plain that still protect its narrow alleys and the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie. Immediately outside the town, on the slopes of Velino, there is the famous Romanesque church of Santa Maria in Valle Porclaneta. The town is an excellent starting point for excursions in the “Velino-Sirente” Regional Natural Park and a stop on the “Cammino dei Briganti” (a 100 km route between medieval villages and wild nature between Abruzzo and Lazio) and is close to the National Park of 'Abruzzo. In the town and in the immediate surrounding area there are restaurants, riding stables and outdoor swimming pools, as well as numerous shopping centres. In addition to Tagliacozzo and Avezzano, Rosciolo is also close to the archaeological site of Alba Fucens and is about 30 km from Ovindoli and the Celano Gorges, with its magnificent Piccolomini Castle, and 50 km from L'Aquila.
