Quinto de' Stampi is a hamlet of the municipality of Rozzano in the province of Milan, located north of the town from which it is separated by the western ring road of Milan. It derives its name from the fact that it is located five miles from the walls of the city of Milan. Its inhabitants are called quintostampini. It was an ancient municipality in the Milan area, the seat of a parish and bordering Corpi Santi to the north, Pontesesto to the east, Rozzano to the south, and Cassino Scanasio to the west. In 1751 its inhabitants were only 80. According to the census requested by Empress Maria Theresa in 1771, Quinto de' Stampi had 158 inhabitants,[2] while at the proclamation of the Kingdom of Italy in 1805 it had 150 inhabitants.[3] In 1809 it was suppressed by royal decree of Napoleon and annexed to Pontesesto, which was then in turn incorporated into Rozzano in 1811. The Municipality of Quinto de' Stampi was reinstated with the return of the Austrians, who however retraced their steps in 1841, establishing the definitive suppression of the municipality by annexation with Pontesesto, which in turn was then incorporated into Rozzano in 1870.--497ccad9cb6bec77a060!
